I am a middle aged female shopkeeper who is totally perplexed by the number of grumpy old men that walk into our shop. They are difficult to deal with and occasionally (if you are extremely lucky) may make an effort to actually listen to our recommendations. I cannot understand where they are coming from and believe me if they ask about about pensioner discounts, my first silent thought is “no sir but we do have a pensioner surcharge”. Of course I don’t say such a thing but I would like hear your thoughts and experiences or maybe you are a grumpy old man who has good reason on being so cranky and needs to offload.
